The eaves are the edges of the roof that overhang the face of a wall and can extend beyond the side of a building. The eaves form an overhang to throw water clear of the walls and can even be decorated as part of an architectural style Do you have a curved roof overhang that needs to be framed? Well, in this video, Matt Risinger shows us just how to frame it with bendable plywood. Designer Bill Wood joins Risinger as they take us through the framing of an overhang on a French country-style house. Bill uses ¾ -inch plywood, determines the dimensions and uses 2x4s to block. Risinger and Wood cover details such as getting the nails to seal in tight, the fascia, painted materials and the different types of environments these houses can exist in.
