Home Zip Sheathing On the Ceiling?

In a current Passive House project out at Martha’s Vineyard we are altering our air barrier strategy a bit. We have always found Zip sheathing to provide not only a great weather resistive barrier, but an exceptional air barrier also. SO on this project we have folded our air barrier strategy from wall into the ceiling to provide the desired continuity we seek in an air barrier strategy. Of course BIG RED joins in and goes wild in illustrating some complex building science in a very easy to understand format. INSIDE vs OUTSIDE seems like an easy concept, but I am amazed at how grey this concept can get – Big Red sets us straight!! Enjoy the video my friends……
