Home What Makes the Colonial Revival Style Unique?

What is the colonial revival style a revival of?

This style encompasses the Georgian, Federal, and Greek revival building style that took place in this country from 1750-1850. Reviving is a nostalgic re-doing of the styles from these periods. In 1926 an architecht named John Staub built the house you'll be looking at in this video. During this time, architects had access to new resources they could tap into for inspiration, such as the Colonial Interiors Books, inspiring, for example, the way the door is nestled underneath the stairs.

Head to Fort Worth, TX to explore the colonial revival style up close with Brent.
