Lumber prices have doubled over the course of the last year. It has to do with how many houses are in demand, interest rates, production facilities, and raw material supply. Some of the resins and adhesives used in plywood and OSB are in short supply right now. Three of the major suppliers have declared force majeure. According to the NAHB, the average lumber package for the average house has increased by over $35,000. This webinar is part of a concerted effort to make builders aware that with rising lumber prices, rising OSB and plywood prices, there are ways of using alternate bracing methods and foam sheathing products to mitigate costs while adding insulation and protection. The goal of the webinar is to teach builders that this can be done and give them a comfort level of doing so.
