Home VENTILATION SOLUTION: Part 1
Houses need to breathe, no argument here…..BUT…..how do they breathe is the real question? Energy, durability, comfort, and health, all suggest we build well-built, airtight homes. We have the ability and knowledge to build a well-insulated, relatively airtight home, but this is only half the solution. The home needs to breathe, just not the way we used to let them. Uncontrolled air leakage can cause energy problems, health problems, durability issues, and certainly comfort issues. So how do we control this dilemma? Let’s talk ventilation, more specifically – Controlled Ventilation. Let’s talk about bringing outside air into the home, and exhausting interior air laden with odor and moisture. Let’s talk about while exchanging this air, we strip the paid for energy $$ off the exhausting air, and place it on the incoming air…….Of course, BIG RED joins us in the discussion and points out the basic strategies to Controlled Ventilation using the Zehnder System. Enjoy the video friends, and let me know if you have any questions.
