Home This Swiss Building blew me away! All Wood and Concrete - NO Insulation
Watch as Matt Risinger crosses the pond to see one of the most beautiful buildings in Switzerland. Not only is it visually appealing, it's so different in that it is made of all wood, meaning no insulation or concrete. The walls are beautifully sanded and finished, but behind them is 16 inches of solid wood with use of a two panel system. The floors are a special detail in that the builders used a grid system leaving spaces in the floor paneling, which they fill with sand to act as a sound proofing technique. Not only will it create a quiet floor, but also a warm and toasty one. After they implement the sand into the flooring, they're going to run heated rods through as well. This Swiss building is as beautiful as it is interesting, watch the video to see for yourself.
