Home Spray Foam Attic Insulation - Conditioned Attic How & Why
Matt Risinger provides tips for attic insulation. In this video, he discusses the difference between a traditional insulated attic and a conditioned attic. When it comes to traditional insulation, most houses are insulated at the floor level, which is not ideal since there are opening for things such as recessed cans and AC. Conditioned attics provide insulation in spaces between the ceiling joists of the top story and the roof rafters. Non-vented attics are sprayed up the roof lining so that there is no outside air coming in. With all the ducts in the attic," there is very little difference between the attic and duct temperatures.
