Home Soundproofing with Acoustiblok
Soundproofing is a huge issue for many homeowners. The time to address this problem is pre-sheetrock. In this video, Matt Risinger reviews Acoustiblok, a DIY soundproofing system. As you can see in the video, Acoustiblok looks like large sheets of rubber. One square foot of Acoustiblok weighs one pound; it's pretty solid. While most soundproofing is done by the drywall contractor, the Acoustiblok is installed even before the drywall contractor arrives. It's so easy to install, all you need to do is grab a friend and you're good to go. Remember that the devil is in the details when installing the Acoustiblok. If you don't seal penetrations, such as an electrical outlet, you're allowing air and noise to pass through the Acoustiblok. What else can you do to take your soundproofing to the next level? Watch the full video to learn more.
