Storm shelters are a fact of life in some areas of the country. Planning for a safe place to reside when weathering a storm is a very serious compliment to any design. This week we visit the Ranch Project in Texas. Here we took the planned for “Pantry Space” and reinforced it to become a storm shelter within the space of the house. We don’t like to think about it, but severe storms exist, and we need to plan for them. We thickened the walls to accommodate an interior ICF wall / roof system to become that storm shelter. Join BIG RED and I as we walk thru the details of what we did, how we did it, and where we did it. I’s a small par of this large project – but it one of he most important………Enjoy the video.
