Home Shear Wall
What a way to celebrate Christmas!!! Join me and Big Red as we walk thru the basics of lateral loading on a house and how shear walls develop resistance to keep the building from deforming. This week there are no initial drawings or details, you could say Big Red went rogue and free-lanced sketches as we broke down the basics. Some find the concepts of lateral loads and shear walls a very complex concept, and while we don’t get into specific numbers here, we get our point across about what it is, and how to design for it. So check out the video, listen closely, a lot of good little bits of info flowing here. Enjoy my friends……and have a safe and wonderful Holiday Season.
