Home Secret HVAC Equipment for Ultimate Comfort - SD12 Reveal
There is one key ingredient necessary to being comfortable in your new house. In this video, Matt Risinger, master builder, Risinger takes away the focus on comfort in your home resting solely on the thermostat. The thermostat represents only half of what makes us comfortable. What the thermostat doesn't deliver is the relative humidity of the home. With a relative humidity of 40-50%, it's easy to be comfortable in a home in temperatures in the high 70's. For most, however, without a dehumidification system, when the air conditioning isn't running, the house gets stuffy. You don't need a colder house to fix the problem, you just have to manage that humidity. The Ultra-Aire SD12 is a split dehumidifier. Dehumidifiers tend to have the compressor and all the workings in one box, so it puts out a lot of heat. In the demo, the compressor is outside, there is a freon line, and set the unit to 50% and live comfortably with the result. This unit uses less electricity, adding to the efficiency.
