Among Steve's favorite projects are the ones with the best clients. He's got some open-minded clients on this New England remodel project and they'll be adding some details to accomodate the older couple -- making it convenient for just two of them to live in, even as they age. 

For starters, they will eliminate the sunken living room, add to the home to displace the master bedroom, and add utlity features to separate the bedroom from the rest of the house. For example, a laundry room will be built right next to the bedroom for convenience.

Steve and the team also widened the doors to 36" for extra elbow room in anticipation of future needs that may come along with aging. 

As for bathroom details: a walk in shower, multiple shower heads, and wall-hung toilet units that give it a contemporary look and make cleaning the base of the toilet much easier. 

What else? A sun room, beautiful wood and ceiling details, and just wait until you see the kitchen!  Steve will take us through as the project progresses.
