In many new construction builds, the question as to installing roof gutters is always a discussion to be had. While roof gutters serve a very good purpose, and are definitely an advantage from a building science point of view, sometimes they challenge the desired aesthetics. On this project, the aesthetics outweighed the use of roof gutters. That didn’t mean we didn’t solve for water management, we just used a different option. Follow along in the video as we outline the use of a “ground gutter” system. BIG RED shows how the ground gutter system collects, removes, and relocates the water so it doesn’t become a problem. We still retain ALL the water on-site; just manage it underground…….Enjoy the video friends.
