Home Mold, Rats and Mice, oh my! Major Home Remodeling Job With Considerable Damage

In this Build Show video, Matt Risinger is joined by a number of colleagues, friends and
even family members who are helping with a major demo to prep for a remodeling job for a
neighbor on Matt’s street. This house has had some considerable damage due to holes in the
exterior, critters, water damage and mold, and the guys don their PPE and get right to work
stripping walls and pulling out all the bad stuff. As can happen, projects like these can morph
into much bigger, more expensive projects than originally intended once the damage begins to
be uncovered. Matt emphasizes his philosophy of do it right, do it completely, and get it all
done (torn out/back to basic framing) when you’re going to do a whole-house remodel,
especially one with considerable damage like this house has.
