Home Laundry Floor Drain & Secondary Lint Trap - Risinger Goes Rogue
Watch this video to learn some great home building and home remodeling tips for the laundry room to prevent and deal with overflows. First off, homebuilder and remodeler Matt Risinger suggests a fiberglass pan in the flooring of the laundry room like you would install in a shower, sloping towards the drain. The fiberglass can be covered with the flooring of your choice. He also talks dryer venting best practices to prevent clogs there as well, while still keeping things looking nice from an aesthetics point of view. In this home, he not only put in a recessed dryer vent, but also a secondary dryer lint trap in the wall to catch anything the original trap doesn't stop. Check out the video to learn more.
