Home Insulating and Air Sealing Windows

Matt Risinger gives everything we need to know about achieving the perfect window insulation and air sealing. To get the perfect seal, he shows us which backing rods to use and best practices for caulking. This method can be a lot better than the standard low-expansion foam method.

Risinger will also walk us through the method he uses, which can cause water and air to be pushed away from the window instead of leaving small cracks that could allow water and air to leak into the building. This simple process doesn't require many tools and takes very little time to complete. It can provide a longer lasting life span than the traditional method.
