Marvin windows continue to amaze. New window options include those at a recent International Build Show booth. In this video, Matt Risinger, master builder, discusses a few new window options. Beginning with a Simulated Double Hung Hopper window with improved performance designed for passive houses. The triple-glazed window has a U-Factor of 0.22, almost an R-5, and an SHGC of 0.16. Although it looks like a standard double hung, to promote air tightness, it features two handles on the sides and a gasket inside, yet it looks like a normal window.Another product is the illuminated multi-slide. It goes to 50' wide, 12' high, and each panel can be 5' x 12' and it also features a stainless-steel roller system. The product is designed to be energy star and performance rated. Another is the lift-and-slide system, which although it's been on the market, the booth is demonstrating its use as a corner unit.
