Home Hybrid Insulation - 1" of Closed Cell Foam topped with Cellulose in a 2x4 wall
Join Master Builder Matt Risinger as he shows us how two different types of insulation are being used. Here he shows off a situation where three quarter-inch rigid foam is on the exterior, and a closed cell foam is sprayed to a minimum dept of one inch on the interior. This method has a much greater R-value than regular open-cell foam. Damp blown cellulose is also added, increasing the rigidity of the structure. Join Risinger as he shows you the systems behind the walls that create a well-insulted home.
