HORSESHOE SHIMS
In this episode, Wade shows a pro tip on using horseshoe shims at the bottom window flange to make sure there is always a small gap between the flange and the WRB. The purpose of this is to allow any potential water or moisture to escape from the window pan. If it's not drying, it's dying. Again, stressing the importance of managing water. Trapping it under the window will lead to window rot and wall assembly rot. Both can be avoided with proper window installation methods and simple tricks as Wade shows you in this video.
