Home High Performance HVAC - VRF Equipment - Part 1

If you're using mainstream HVAC systems that are becoming extremely dated, this four-part series is for you.

In Part 1 Matt Risinger's friend Kristoff Irwin provides us with an overview of the future of HVAC. VRF, or variable refrigerant flow, requires builders to understand the facts when selecting which system would be best for a build. According to Irwin, homes are becoming more advanced, and the rapid progression of technology that has changed even in 50 years has created a "new normal" when it comes to high-performance homes much like the ones Risinger builds. These homes have longer lives and better air quality which an outdated HVAC system is no longer able to provide. Irwin also talks about the perspective of changing environments and changing resiliency. This part one of the series gives perspective into why mainstream HVAC is becoming dated.
