It's hot in Texas. So, how do you incorporate air conditioning into your garage? There are two ways to go about this task the way people typically do it and the way Matt Risinger does it. Most people oversize the AC in the house and add AC buckets to the garage. Risinger frowns upon this method because it could add too much air conditioning dumping into the garage and leaves no place for the air to go. What's the right way? The right way to add AC is to use a standalone system—a small unit inside of the garage so that the garage is not sharing house air and vice versa. Risinger suggests a mini-split head mounted to the wall that provides a separate condenser so you're getting the return and supply into the space so you're not doing any air sharing.
