Home Framing Tip - How to Straighten Studs
Every house can benefit from a framing check. In this video, framing carpenter Bill Wood will show us how to check for bowed studs and a simple solution to straighten a wall.If you find a bowed stud, which you will, grab your saw, set the table at 45 degrees, and cut across twice to create a small open space that will allow you to push the stud straight. Enlist a friend to help, and you can add another board to the side of the stud and nail it into the stud to keep it straight. Check out the quick video to learn more about how to straighten studs during framing.
