Matt Risinger is in Newport, RI today for The Build Show with his friend Wade. It’s a classic, New England-style home with all shingle exterior and some details that make for an efficient build process. Matt and Wade go through the home to discuss the details of building this home, including different framing strategies and materials for New England, a look at the detailed plans. In Rhode Island, foundations are a little bit different, and the roofing includes some metal framing with structural screws not usually seen in Texas.
