Matt Risinger is at the University of Texas JJ Pickle Research Center. Here the construction science department is conducting a comprehensive study on the long-term durability of weather resistive barriers. Risinger joins in to show us what they're learning. Watch a test of 17 different samples of fluid applied weather resistant barriers that have been sitting outside and exposed to the elements from one to two years. Learn about how they conducted the experiment, the products used," and how they are all thick mil products. Risinger also meets with David Nicastro to talk about the goals of the the experiment and how fluid applied water resistant barriers will be the future of green building. Watch the video for a deeper look at different fluid applied weather barriers and the importance of work like this.
