Double pocket doors can be a pain to operate, but not this Sugatsune hardware. This is a synchronized set that soft-closes in both directions, a win-win. The doors are on a standard track, just like any other sliding door. However, the synchronized doors connect via a belt system. The unique hardware requires you to install the doors before you finish the drywall because you will not be able to remove it once you finish the drywall. As you will see, this Sugatsune system soft-closes thanks to six ball bearing rollers on each side. You want to start with high quality hardware to ensure you won't have to tear out your drywall to fix the hardware. If you're installing double pocket doors, remember these three things spend the time planning for a good install, hire a good finish carpenter, and invest in good hardware.
Check out the video to see the Sugatsune hardware in action.
