Home Cree SL24 & SL40 Linear LED Fixture Review - (T5 Killer)
Check out Matt Risinger in his very own home, which was remodeled five years ago by Risinger and his team. They're in the laundry room and Risinger has a solution to the problem of the strip T5 fluorescents he installed which regularly need to be replaced. In this video he swaps both lights for Cree lights the SL24 (24" long, 25 watts, 2000 lumens) and SL40 (40, 55 watts, 4000 lumens). These linear utility lights are affordable, extremely efficient, and result in very high, bright output, perfect for lighting up dark spaces like laundry rooms or garages. He also covers adding an occupancy sensor switch (Risinger uses a Lutron http://amzn.to/1etR5Nm), which you can also set it to manually turn instead of utilizing the sensor, but it will still automatically go off after a certain time. These new Cree lights have 50,000 hours of life, so he won't need to continually replace them. There are a lot of uses for these in the new houses and renovations Risinger works on. Watch the video to see how it's done.
