On this episode of The Build Show, Matt Risinger will blow your mind with a radiant cooling system. How can you cool your house with chilled water?
Risinger welcomes Positive Energy PE, Kristof Irwin to discuss radiant panels decoupled from the amass so they can change temperature directly with the goal of conditioning the people in any space correctly, so that they aren't gaining too much cold in the Summer or too much heat in the Winter. This type of system allows users to directly mediate with radiation.
So, let's say you live up North where you need a heating system in the Winter, you may use radiant heating, like a radiator. So, water running across the hot surface temperature would heat up the people in the space. Picture the same thing for radiant cooling. Risinger takes out his infrared camera to detect temperature patterns of the system installed in the ceiling above his head.
