In this video, Matt Risinger shows us some of the details on the exterior of a farm house he's working on. In Texas there are a lot of issues with termites, rot, mildew and mold, so they've gone with a James Hardie smooth cement siding for this house. We see the siding and the window trims, all made with this product, which is smooth and beautiful. Then, around the front on the porch, they've gone with 4-inch wide steel beams. These will last for years with no issues of rot or mold like you'd have with wood. Details like these create a beautiful but durable exterior that will stay that way for a very long time. Check out the video to learn more, and don't miss the cool pine flooring inside the top of the porch to give a nice wooden farmhouse feel, but with no exposure to rain or sun.
