Design and Building is 1000’s of decisions – Each decision has an Aesthetic component, and a Building Science component. Yes, Buildings need to look good, but they need to perform well, and last a long time for us to truly get the value out of what we do. This week BIG RED and I dive deep into the world of INTEGRAION. We argue for a design that is knitted with Good Looks and Sound Performance. Too many buildings get built on the basis of application of performance…HINT-IT DOESN”T WORK!!! We need to buckle up, get in the driver’s seat and do our job, we need to design and build to last. Buildings that look good and perform good are loved, Loved Buildings are taken care of, and Cared for Buildings last a Looooooong Time……….So let’s get after it……Long Live Our Buildings!!!
