Home Air Barrier Tape
"I have a number of approaches to developing air tightness at the Mudsill Area. In terms of air-sealing, a belt and suspenders approach is always a good thing. Adhesives and tapes have come a very long way in the last 25 years. One of my favorites, “Fentrim” by Siga, is a very aggressive tape with many uses. Taping the exterior air barrier to the foundation wall is just one of them. It easily adheres to the concrete and completes the connection of foundation wall to wood framed wall. Of course, BIG RED joins in and aides is a great explanation. Enjoy the video friends, and have a safe Holiday Weekend."
