Matt is on site right outside of Vancouver at a 5,000- sq.-ft. passive home in-progress. He's chatting with Mike from Innotech. The conept of the passive home is the put a big thick sweater around the outside of the home so that it doesn't require too miuch enegy to heat it. How much energy? About 1,600 Watts, according to Mike. 

How do they get the house so air-tight in ordder to achieve such a thing? A lot of thick insulation, along with high-quality windows and doors are the key.
