Home Episode 102: The DOE's Water Heater Legislation
On this week's Podcast, Matt and Frank Windsor, President of Rinnai, discuss the latest water heater efficiency ruling by the Department of Energy.

Matt and Frank discuss what the legislation will require from water heater technology and installation if passed. Frank breaks it down by electric vs. gas power, tank vs. tankless systems, condensing vs. non-condensing water heaters, and any exceptions the legislation will allow.

They discuss the push toward electric heat pumps and condensing tanks and how it will affect consumers, remodelers, builders, tank manufacturers, and the environment from installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, through the end of the unit's life.

If you want to share your thoughts and feedback with the DOE, whether you're a consumer, builder, or manufacturer, the deadline for input is Sept 28th. Rinnai America is making it easy for you.
